The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation is partnering with The University of Texas at Austin to ensure all Pell Grant-eligible students have the support they need to reach graduation – and open the door to a lifetime of opportunity.
Beginning in the fall of 2020, qualifying first-year, Pell Grant-eligible students will become part of the Dell Scholars program. Dell Scholars at UT Austin will receive a $20,000 scholarship over their time in college that can be applied toward their cost of attendance. Funds are available to scholarship recipients for up to six years to lessen loans and debt and are offered alongside the program’s core support services. Qualifying students will be notified of their award with their initial financial aid package in March.
Dell Scholars at UT Austin will also receive comprehensive, individualized support to help them overcome academic challenges, increase financial literacy, and navigate the personal circumstances that impact their college experience. These services will be provided through UT for Me – Powered by Dell Scholars and include:
For Texas residents, this scholarship support will come on top of the university’s Texas Advance Commitment, which guarantees aid to cover the full cost of tuition and fees for Texas families earning $65,000 or less.
